“I have watched Cadby transform the lives of countless individuals with her unconditional love, her unrivaled wisdom and her unbridled passion for the creative process.  She creates a safe environment where students are free to think and dream and share and grow and trust.”

  • Josh Halloway, Actor & Writer

“Carol is absolutely amazing. She is like the grandmother that makes each grandchild feel like they are the favorite. That is, she treated everyone fairly and with the utmost respect. As a beginner, this was especially crucial to me. It allowed me to be receptive and vulnerable enough to learn. Outside of her professionalism her passion for acting is transparent. She authentically cares about teaching. When going through the material, exercises and questions, the format and pace of the class was organized. Carol didn't just teach in the class, she offered to stay later after class for students who had more questions. She offered each of us an hour of review prior to our presentation; she even gave me two hours per my request. I think she had around twenty students and to spend so much time with each of us was remarkable. Carol, not only taught me about how to tell my story with validity, she made me feel valid through my storytelling experience. A common cliché is that if you make a difference, even if it's just with one person, that's all that matters. I am one person that has been changed for the better through this experience.“

  • Jocelyn Pagan, Performing Your Story student

“Carol Cadby’s combination of Meisner acting and Viewpoints techniques allows for a unique and wholistic approach (both mental and physical) to the rehearsal and performance process. I look forward to incorporating it into my future theatrical work.”

  • Stephanie Eiss, Applied Theatre Artist

“Carol’s energetic personality has shaped the Yorktown Theatre Department into a dynamic, thriving, and well-respected center of learning , and she deserves the enormous popularity she enjoys with students in her program and their parents. I am awed by and impressed with the breadth of Carol’s professional responsibilities, the dedication she demonstrates every day, as a teacher and her passionate love for the craft she teaches. Carol takes chances. She does not pick safe, “little’ plays. Instead she pushes for academic excellence and enhances her student’s learning by choosing challenging plays, urging her students to expand and go beyond their perceived boundaries and limitations. I am proud to work with Carol, an unparalleled mentor and advisor. I am passionate about Carol’s program because, each and every day, she inspires me, her co-worker, as she has inspired her many students and colleagues over the years.“
