As a beginner, this was especially crucial to me. It allowed me to be receptive and vulnerable enough to learn. Outside of her professionalism her passion for acting is transparent. She authentically cares about teaching. When going through the material, exercises and questions, the format and pace of the class was organized. Carol didn't just teach in the class, she offered to stay later after class for students who had more questions. She offered each of us an hour of review prior to our presentation; she even gave me two hours per my request. I think she had around twenty students and to spend so much time with each of us was remarkable. Carol, not only taught me about how to tell my story with validity, she made me feel valid through my storytelling experience. A common cliché is that if you make a difference, even if it's just with one person, that's all that matters. I am one person that has been changed for the better through this experience.“
